It stated that “to fund severance and other costs related to the workforce reduction,” Sir Richard’s investment firm Virgin Investments had contributed $10.9 million (£8.8 million) to Virgin Orbit.
Virgin Circle said it expects the severance installments and different expenses to add up to around $15m.
It comes in the midst of media reports that the organization’s manager has told staff the firm will suspend its exercises until additional notification.
According to CNBC, which first reported the news, Virgin Orbit chief executive Dan Hart stated at a meeting with employees, “We have no choice but to implement immediate, dramatic, and extremely painful changes.”
